WELCOME TO CHRISTIAN SCHOOL PRODUCTS
Aug 2006 Editor's Letter
By: Jill Pinheiro

Members of our staff recently returned fromInfoComm06 in Orlando, where the newest A/V products for the education market, among others, were on display. The show statistics are impressive: 25,000 attendees; 770 exhibitors; 425,000 net square feet of exhibit and special events space.

Audio/visual technology certainly is revolutionizing the way everyone communicates, and schools are, of course, no exception, as companies continue to design products to improve how you deliver information to your students.

According to Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., InfoComm's international executive director, "The demand for streaming media, Webcasting, wireless applications and AV-related software has increased dramatically. InfoComm reflects the fast pace of innovations and growth in the AV communications industry."

This topic ties into our main focus this month—school construction. Whether you're renovating your existing facility or building a new one, you'll want to plan for the future and think about how A/V technology is going to factor in to and affect the design of your new building.

In addition to bringing you the hot new products from the show in this issue, we also have rounded up a wide variety of products and services to help you head into another school year.

I hope you'll find, as always, that we have taken over the work of researching the "latest and greatest" for your facility--it's our ongoing mission to equip you with the information you need to evaluate and purchase the best items possible to operate your school effectively and efficiently, school year after school year.

I'm always interested in hearing from you. You can reach me at jill@cspmag.com.

God Bless,
