How does your school rank from an A/V perspective? Do you have the equipment and resources to effectively communicate to your students? Are you taking advantage of the latest technology to enhance the various messages your students receive throughout the day?
"A myriad of audio solutions exist that can help build better communication channels in the school, all the while creating a superior learning experience for your students," says A/V consultant Jerry Horn. "Amazingly, most of these solutions are very affordable, no matter the size of your budget."
In our annual focus on school A/V, Horn outlines three important solutions for audio issues your school may be facing: classroom sound, portable systems, and installed systems.
Here are three great tips from his article:
* Seek out a supplier who has firsthand knowledge of the audio industry as it applies to the educational community. * While the Internet is a great tool for researching products and companies, don't use it strictly for price shopping. * Choose a company that is willing to ask you questions and offer useful advice based on your needs and budget constraints.
This special A/V section also includes information on how equip your gymnasium, acoustically, for multi-purpose use. We have also provided some considerations for choosing a projection screen for visual presentations. We've rounded out this section with the latest and greatest A/V products for schools on the market today.
As we near the end of the year, I wanted to invite you to let me know what you'd like to see within these pages in 2007. We're always striving to make this publication as useful as possible and responsive to your ongoing needs as a Christian school leader. You can help us going forward by dropping me a line if there's something you'd like us to address from a purchasing standpoint in the magazine.
I'm always interested in hearing from you.
God Bless,
