WELCOME TO CHRISTIAN SCHOOL PRODUCTS
March 2006 Editor's Letter
By: Jill Pinheiro

Mark your calendars—National Playground Safety Week is April 24-28.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, each year, approximately 205,860 preschool and elementary children receive emergency department care for injuries that occur on playground equipment. Of these, about 45% of injuries involving public equipment occurred in schools.

As part of our playground coverage this month, we provide a safety checklist to help you make sure your school playground is a safe place to play. We also focus on how to turn your playground into an outdoor classroom, creating "teachable moments" to make play a learning experience.

Also, Christian School Products celebrates the one-year anniversary of its launch with this issue. As a product magazine that spans the gamut of everything you need to equip your Christian school for its highest mission, we're providing something that didn't exist to you even just one year ago.

The staff at Christian School Products thanks you for a fantastic first year, and we look forward to continuing to serve your school purchasing needs in the years to come.

You'll find, once again, that we've stocked this issue with helpful purchasing information. In addition to our playground focus, we also offer some school fundraising PTOs (Principles, Tips and Observations) to help you work smarter, not harder as you strive toward your school's financial goals.

I hope you'll find that this issue, as with our others during this past year, is a valuable resource to you.

I'm always interested in hearing from you. You can reach me at jill@cspmag.com.

God Bless,

Jill Hasty Pinheiro
