Visual Edge Slant Board
As a child in school, I¡¯m sure most of you remember that your school desks were slanted. Pioneering experiments by Dr. Darrel Boyd Harmon and subsequent research by Drs. John Pierce and Steven Greenspan have positively proven there is an intimate relationship between posture, working distance, and desk surface. Their research has shown that this arrangement reduces the heart rate, lowers your blood pressure, induces a more regular and deeper breathing pattern, and reduces neck muscle and overall body tension. By placing your work at the proper angle, it puts more of the page in focus at one time, reducing the strain the on your eyes. Concurrently, by writing on a sloped work surface, you will reduce the fatigue experienced during writing and increase control.
