Sep 2009 Editor's Letter
By: Jill Pinheiro
As I write this, it’s the day before my oldest niece starts first grade at a private Christian school. A product of a Christian school myself, I am excited about the journey on which she is about to embark, as my experience was such a positive one. Her little heart loves the Lord, and I’m so glad that she’s going to be in an educational environment that encourages and fosters that relationship.
I’m sure you’re back and settled at this point, ready to begin a new school year. In my research for some “back-to-school” statistics related to Christian schools, I came across some information from the Council for American Private Education (CAPE), which reports that, “Private schools account for over 25 percent of the nation's schools and enroll about 11 percent of all students.” Their findings show that 6,049,000 private school students were enrolled PK-12 last school year.
Have you thought about what you and your staff will do to make this school year an even better one for your students than previous years? The best materials, equipment, and supplies will play a critical role, and that’s where this magazine comes in.
We’re committed to bringing you information about the latest and greatest products and services for every single area of your educational facility. I hope you will continue to rely on us as the ultimate resource for the efficient and effective operation of your Christian school.
Here’s to another great school year!
I’m always interested in hearing from you. You can reach me at jill@cspmag.com.
