Cristo Rey Dallas College Preparatory School provides a unique educational opportunity and experience for their students located in Pleasant Grove.
Through industry leader and local business partnerships, Cristo Rey Dallas students have the opportunity to participate in a corporate work study program from their freshman to senior year.
Through real-world learning experiences, students will gain invaluable knowledge of the professional work environment, including the importance of good communication, written and verbal skills.
The overall campus master plan includes a total of four phases.
The new Academic Building, as part of Phase 2, includes 15 student-centered core classrooms and four general science labs dedicated for Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Distributed Administration and Counseling spaces are also included, as well as open and flexible student collaboration areas.
The overall architecture design of the building is contextually rooted on an existing church and educational campus.
The design of the exterior represents a collegiate campus feel with tall, two-story brick pilasters and window openings, while the interior is designed with a professional and business mindset to support the personality of the corporate work study program.
The main interior academic corridor is filled with natural light through a raised roof area with north-facing clerestory windows.
The project is LEED Certified.
