June 2008 Editor's Letter
By: Jill Pinheiro
In your capacity as a Christian school administrator, what are your everyday "go-to" guides for reference?
Throughout various stages in my career, I have relied on a variety of resources. As a journalism student and, later, community newspaper intern, I lived by the A.P. Stylebook, a staple on the desks of writers and editors everywhere. As a food editorial assistant for a Southern lifestyle magazine, I was never far from the Food Lover's Companion for ready answers when a harried cook called in with questions. In my capacity as an assistant editor for a book publisher, I hung on to my copies of the Kirkus Reviews seasonal book previews.
That said, I hope that our annual Buyer's Guide is your "go-to" resource as a Christian school leader for all of the products and services you need for your educational facility. It's packed full of the manufacturers and suppliers that provide resources for you to efficiently and effectively operate, organized by both company names and categories.
Our 2008 Buyer's Guide is the largest yet, with more than 850 companies in 118 categories. In fact, to make sure that the guide is always evolving to best meet your needs, we have added 10 categories since last year's edition, including Student Identification, Financial Aid, and Computer Security.
It's an issue that I hope you turn to again and again throughout the year to help you in your purchasing decisions. I think the timing of our Buyer's Guide is particularly appropriate, as you prepare for the new upcoming school year.
Remember, too, that the complete guide is available on our Web site at www.cspmag.com.
I'm always interested in hearing from you. You can reach me at email@example.com.
